About the DUBAR Duck Call
What makes a duck’s mouth so unique? Scientifically speaking, it all comes down to the small, tooth-like notches called lamellae inside the beak. These fine structures help ducks filter out water, mud and other things clinging to their food. They also play a role in making ducks sound like ducks. And there, you see, is the point.
How does one make a mallard duck call sound identical to a real hen? Simply by replicating the hen mallard’s mouth, of course. You would know if you were talking to someone who didn’t have any teeth — ducks are no different.
Introducing the DUBAR mallard duck call — we call it the DUBAR, because it’s “ducked” up beyond all recognition! It’ll confuse any mallard who hears it.
We designed this call with two added values. The first is that it’ll never stick. The tooth-like notches in the tone board filter away any excess spit, like water through lamellae.
