Description

If you want a double reed duck call that can take as much air as you can blow, the Ranger is the call for you.

More air means more volume — without compromising the quality of duck sounds. With a wider exhaust, the Ranger Double Reed duck call is one of the loudest on the market while remaining very ducky.

How’d we do it? The Slayer Calls team started with the award-winning Drake Slayer Double Reed and opened up the exhaust, lengthened the tone board, and took out some of the rises. These design changes let hunters put as much air as they want into the call.

Take advantage of the full volume range to adjust the loudness of your call, whether you’re hunting in the field, in timber, or near open water. A well-timed hail can be your ticket to coaxing in a circling flock.

The Ranger’s superior tone from the high end all the way to the bottom grows with callers as they advance their skills. Its double reed construction is more forgiving than a single reed call if the caller doesn’t present the air just right, and it makes for a more ducky call on the lower end.
Experienced duck callers value the control and sophistication they can get from the Ranger with sounds like the bouncing hen, Cajun squeals, hails, and refuge feed.

With its durable, eye-catching acrylic barrel, the Ranger is a showstopper that’s ready to go wherever you call the wild.

Slayer gives 10% from each purchase to organizations that protect the environment and wildlife, support conservation efforts, and preserve America’s hunting heritage.

Love the sound, easy to reach varying tones from highball to low pitch feeding calls. I wanted a call that made soft, finishing tones and this one does it. Also can crank it up and fill the air with a high-pitch comeback. The feel in-hand is very good and fits my grip. I wanted a larger barrel than what I typically have used and this call does it. I’ve been impressed this past season with it.

Awesome call, awesome sound and appearance. Very well made!! Worked great on cold foggy days, didn’t get stuck or squeal. On the clear days it turned birds that seemed to be almost a mile off. Great clear loud sound. Chuckling and hailing it had the attention of all the birds around. I look forward to buying one of every call from Slayer. I would highly recommend the ranger double reed! My Grandmother and I haven’t had a dull shoot since we got it

My son literally looked at me and said dad “I can’t stick this thing and it’s a double reed !”the aesthetics and the sound floored him , “ this thing is loud “ he said , thank you Santa and thank you Slayer !
Definitely won’t be his last slayer call !

There are so many calls on the market that “look” good but don’t have the tonal quality that allows for depth of range and control over varying hunting scenarios. We hunted over large bays that required louder presentations and also small inlets and flooded tributaries where softer calling was necessary. This call was so easy to blow form the start allowing for great control, easy manipulation of tones, and finally gave us the low tones we needed for the drake mallards. The hail calls are crisp, sharp and have strong finishes leaving me feeling like I’m still in control and not literally sending a last ditch “Hail Mary” at the birds. We saw some great reactions from the birds which provided for some amazing shot opportunities and most importantly memories with my boys that will never be forgotten!

I am new to duck calling and came across this call after extensive research online. I was skeptical at first but thought if a company pairs instructional videos (Call the Wild) with their calls, they have to be good. I can honestly say this call was phenomenal over the last two weekends for me as it never seized despite how much air I put through it and had a great sound quality. I would definitely recommend this to friends and family.

I’m actually super impressed with not only the sound of this call but how comfortable it is to blow. Excellent quality call and couldn’t have shipped any faster. I’m going to order a wooden one as well and an acrylic ranger for my son. I own several calls and this one has earned the go to spot on my lanyard for now. Only thing I’d ask for is different solid color acrylics as well. I do like this green marsh but it’s a bit flashy for my taste. Thanks for such a great product and definitely will buy more .
