I bought this call because I was curious more than anything else. I have two other cutdown calls which I like but had never tried a double reed cutdown. Although the Slayer is not a true cutdown call I do like the call. It’s inexpensive and sounds good even though it sounds almost identical to a J-Frame and utilizes typical J-Frame reeds. I plan on doing some experimentation as a single reed and using more traditional cutdown reeds. Definitely would recommend this call for those new to duck calling or to anyone looking for an easy blowing versatile call.
