Approximately 6 seasons calling ducks with about 3 other expensive brands... what I have to say is that I was going crazy trying to figure out how I can't make sounds like my mates, until I got the Drake Slayer double reed...The Slayer is easy to use and has a natural duck sound even if you're not the most experienced blower in your triad. It came tuned in a special container with a note from the person who tuned it... nice touch, and it sounded great right out of the box.

Just a shout out to Slayer Calls! Thanks for putting out such a great Loud Raspy Call the Slayer Dubar OG Double Reed and the single reed. The double reed is a great finishing call, but will still hit it high when needed! We hunt on the river next to several large refuges, and the competition is intense! You need to hit them hard and call the green to the water! My call of choice is the Slayer!

This call is unreal! Took it out of the box and practiced for a little bit, and it was really easy to learn to use. Just took it out hunting and brought a pintail right into the decoys. It looks great and looks like it will last a while. I recommend this for advanced callers… and having your bag if you’ve got someone new… they’ll be able to use most of the calls within a couple minutes of practicing.

My son, an avid hunter, asked if I would consider purchasing a Slayer call for his high school graduation. This was his only request and after visiting the website and grilling him with questions on the legitimacy of the company, quality of product, etc, he convinced me to order- although my initial reaction was the cost. Fast forward- couldn’t be happier with the purchase, the quality, the speed of shipment (customized order) and ultimately the customer service. He proudly wears his “Slayer” tshirt around town when not hunting and represents the company every chance he gets from afar. Although I may be a little bias as his mother, have never doubted his ability to seek out quality products. In terms of the call, would prefer he frame it in a shadow box to preserve its craftsmanship and beauty, however in his eyes- not the reason he asked for it. Hence, he sports it around his neck on his lanyard in hopes of landing the ultimate bird! He left at 4:30am this morning, went to his new found spot, was able to successfully call 5+ ducks (his words)…. Somehow missed all the shots, however the biggest thrill was getting them to come within range. One word-SLAYER! Highly recommend!

This call is my new go to. Especially living in a pressured area where ducks flair on most calls. I got more ducks to pitch in on the last day of the season than I did all year. The Whistler's Mother freakin rocks!

Im very fond of wooden calls and the Suzie Slayer did not disappoint. Its a great sounding little call, that has everything you need from high volume attention getting calls at distant ducks, to the finesse of low soft feed chatter to draw them in close. The suzie slayer is a great all around call. This call is definitely DogMan approved. Da DogMan Southern Tradition Dog Training Obedience and Gun Dog Kennels
